“La Sanctuaire flottant”, Glyfada, Greece
In the heart of Glyfada, the architectural project Le Sanctuaire flottant redefines the concept of urban living, blending contemporary architecture with a sense of privacy and natural harmony.
The four-story residence comprises six apartments: two ground-floor units with direct access to the garden, two single-floor apartments that take full advantage of expansive views, and two penthouses with generous outdoor spaces and private pools.
The composition is characterized by pure geometries, bold cantilevers, and expansive glass surfaces that allow natural light to flood the interiors. The interplay of marble, concrete, and lightweight structures creates a balance between solidity and lightness. Each floor is conceived as an independent residence, while the presence of greenery and water at every level fosters a continuous dialogue with nature.
Atmosphere lies at the core of the design. Elevated pools, circular openings that act as “windows to the sky,” and large terraces with lush planting create an environment of relaxation and wellbeing—even within the intensity of the urban context.
Le Sanctuaire flottant is more than a contemporary residential building; it is a proposal for a new way of living in Glyfada—one that merges luxury with simplicity, privacy with openness, and city life with nature.
