The project is about the renovation of an existing building located in Vouliagmeni, right across the Vouliagmeni beachfront, to match the needs of one family, while offering luxurious aesthetic value to the plot. 

For the composition, 314 was inspired by the location and specifically the yachts that pass by the coast all day and night. The studio’s goal was to implement that constant smooth movement to the design, along with the feeling of cruising, as if the building itself is both the means and the destination of a travelling experience. 

For that reason, the balconies are redesigned, facing to the direction of the sea to ensure the unobstructed panoramic views from most of the composition’s volumes. Each balcony’s new outline is a unique, organically shaped curve that is “drawn” to the coast, thus completely altering the building’s original appearance.

Material wise, all floors, interior and exterior alike, are designed to be wooden, with planks matching the size of a yacht’s decking board. These planks are also coated with a high gloss varnish, to increase reflections. 

The exterior walls and architectural elements are painted white to match the yacht concept, as well as the studio’s aesthetic.

Pools and artificial lakes are integrated in the balconies, camouflaged by the architectural elements.

The interior is proposed to have a warm atmosphere with white, beige, and gold details. Wood, metal, marble, and barrisol surfaces are used for cladding.
